COO is in no hurry
A pigeon flies for a few hours. Finds pile up over days, a club grows over weeks. COO is made for looking in on the side: a moment in the morning, a moment in the evening, and in between things happen without you.
Anyone hoping to see it all in one evening will be disappointed. Anyone who lets it grow has a club of their own after two weeks.
COO is a work in progress, every day. Before the launch there will be more finds, more fits and lots of small improvements. And things may still break — that’s exactly what we need your feedback for.
Questions
Everything you should know before launch.
What is COO?
A calm iPhone game about your very own pigeon loft. Pigeons visit, you take some in, send them on trips, collect what they find and dress them up. COO runs in real time: trips take hours, and at night everyone sleeps.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Every club has its own code, like COO-7F3K. Swap codes and you can send each other pigeons to visit, with a greeting. Whoever sends a pigeon home can add a letter. It works through your iCloud, no account needed. There is no free chat, on purpose, just greetings to pick from.
How long until I have several pigeons?
A few days. Visitors drop by on their own, and the ones that would like to stay show a heart — taking one in costs cooins, which you earn on outings. The second pigeon is a small decision, not a welcome gift.
What does COO cost?
Nothing. COO is free, with no ad banners and no subscription. If you like, you can get COO+ once for €4.99: 12 instead of 6 spots in the loft, new loft designs, a second wardrobe and fits you can only get there.
Which iPhone do I need?
An iPhone running iOS 18 or later — roughly the iPhone XS from 2018 onwards.
Is COO available for Android?
Not yet, but it’s in the works. COO was built entirely for the iPhone, so Android means rebuilding a lot of it. I’ll only name a date once I can keep it. Join the Android waiting list and you’ll get an email as soon as it’s ready.
Can I still join the beta?
The beta is full, and we’re keeping it small until launch. You can pre-order COO now, and it will arrive on your iPhone on 3 November.
Is COO available in English?
Soon. COO launches in German; the English version follows in a later update.
What happens to my data?
Inside the app everything stays on your iPhone; if you are signed in to iCloud, your progress is backed up there. For friend visits, your club name, your code and the visits are stored with Apple (iCloud). If you pick a city for the weather, COO asks Apple for the weather there — no location access needed. Details are in the privacy policy.
When does COO launch on the App Store?
On 3 November 2026, first in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, in German. You can pre-order there now. An English version is in the works.
COO for Android is coming.
COO was built for the iPhone from the ground up, so Android needs a little time. I’m working on it. Sign up and you’ll be the first to know.
One email, no newsletter. More in the privacy policy.
